The Case For Economic Freedom
Which countries in the world prosper and have the highest quality of life? Those with economic freedom. Sadly, the United States, long the standard bearer for economic freedom and prosperity in the world, has taken another direction, and we’re all feeling the effects.
This video compares different economies around the world and makes the case for capitalism.
Red Skelton’s Pledge of Allegiance
For many of us, one of our ingrained memories as elementary school children was standing up in our classroom and reciting the “Pledge of Allegiance”.
Sadly, many teachers no longer do this. You can still count on hearing the Pledge at your child’s Scout meeting and at the beginning of every meeting of the Western Wake Republican Club, with an emphatic utterance of the words “under God”, most loudly proclaimed by our longtime member Ivan Bowman.
In our Countdown to the 4th of July, we thought we would share a video from the Red Skelton Show, a comedy variety program that was a mainstay of network television in the 1960′s in which he not only recites the Pledge but explains its meaning.
Remembered by all who knew him as a kind and fervently patriotic man, he always closed the end of his show, “Good night and may God bless.”
Remember Me
This wonderful and touching tribute to our troops was made by Lizzie Palmer in 2006, at the time a 15 year old girl from Columbus, Ohio. After a few months it went viral. In 2007, Chris Wallace showcased it on his Fox News Sunday program. As of today, it has been viewed nearly 30,000,000 times.
“Those Voices Don’t Speak for the Rest of Us”
Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) and the Republican Study Committee present to you a new video featuring President Ronald Reagan reminding us that the out-touch voices of the Democrat Party don’t speak for all Americans.
