Bev Purdue Rips North Carolina
From a purely partisian political perspective, Governor Purdue is the gift that keeps on giving. She will be missed!
In an interview Friday with a NBC affiliate WITN she ripped into the people of North Carolina for voting to pass the Marriage Protection Amendment – by an overwhelming margin of 62 to 38 percent.
Likening it to the civil rights struggles of of the 50s and ‘60s and ‘70s she added, ‘What in the world is going on in North Carolina?’ We look like Mississippi.”, said Purdue.
Given that African Americans in North Carolina voted 2 – 1 for the amendment, this does not seem to be an apt comparison. She also said, “People around the country are watching us, and they’re really confused. ”
For those watching Governor Purdue, that would certainly be the case.

Pat McCrory Announces He’s Running for Governor!!
It’s official – Pat McCrory announced that he’s running for Governor.
A lot of the party faithful have long since given up their subscriptions to the News & Observer so here’s a short excerpt and link:
“Former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory kicked off his second campaign for governor Tuesday night, vowing to end the Democrats’ scandal-ridden “good old boy (and girl) network” and fix the state’s “broken economy.”
Punctuating a long unofficial campaign, Republican McCrory’s formal announcement came less than a week after Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue shook up the race by saying she won’t seek a second term.” more >>>
